What It Is
BladeHubs uses a tiered commission system where smiths who produce more per month pay lower rates. Wood tier (0–1 sales/month) pays the highest commission. Steel tier (4+ sales/month) pays the lowest.
Founding Smiths bypass this entirely. You receive permanent Stone tier rates — the second-best tier — regardless of how many blades you complete each month. Zero minimum. No evaluation. No demotion.
This is available only during the founding period before public launch. Once founding spots are filled, all new smiths enter at Wood tier and advance by volume. Founding Smiths are grandfathered in for life.

What You Get
Founding Smiths receive Stone tier commission rates permanently, regardless of monthly sales volume. Even if you only complete 1 sale per month, you pay Stone tier rates — not Wood tier. This lock never expires.
Standard Wood tier smiths pay 17.5% on custom commissions. Founding Smiths pay 15% — every order, every month, for the life of their account on the platform.
Standard Wood tier smiths pay 22.5% on BIN listings. Founding Smiths pay 20% — saving 2.5 percentage points on every ready-made blade sold.
Your profile displays a permanent Founding Smith badge that signals to buyers you were among the original smiths who helped build this marketplace. Early credibility matters.
Founding Smith applications are reviewed within 24 hours — not the standard 2–3 business days — so you can start receiving orders faster.
Standard tier smiths who miss their monthly minimum get demoted. Founding Smiths cannot be demoted below Stone tier. Slow months happen — your rate won't suffer for them.
